On April 24th Mumia’s birthday there is set to be an event in Philadelphia to celebrate Jamal’s life of accomplishment that include the savage murder of a Philadelphia Police Officer amongst other things.
Breaking from recent traditions, this celebration will be in Philadelphia instead of New York City.
This event will be held at
This venue should be made to understand that helping to raise funds and celebrate the life of a convicted cop-killer is a bad business move, not to speak of moral one.
Aside from the usual cast of charchters present there will be a couple of current and former police officers who stand in support of Jamal. One of whom is, ironically enough, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Sergeant De Lacy Davis, who on his website is listed as a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, is an instructor at the Essex County Police Academy and a New Jersey State-Certified firearms instructor. He has served as the Vice President of the Police Benevolent Association, Local #16, and the executive director of the East Orange Police Athletic League.
He is also the head of an Organization that purports to stand against police abuses. Something I have no quarrel with, but when you confuse the issue of police malfeasance and the brutal murder of an innocent police officer, than you have crossed the line.
Mr. Davis can be reached through his organization,
Another Police Officer or former Officer standing in support of Jamal, (I believe that he is no longer actively serving as an officer but have not yet been able to ascertain that information), is
Ron Hampton. Hampton, on the surface seems legitimate enough until one discovers his ties to the communist front group the
National Lawyers Guild. A group which has been steadfastly pro-cop-killing since it’s inception.
Another of the esteemed guests who is set to attend the Jamal event is Danny Glover. In an apparent effort to one-up his disgraced Lethal Weapon co-star Mel Gibson, Glover has been on an embarrassing campaign of embracing the worst elements of anti-Americanism and it’s symbols. He has embraced Castro, taken up for the tyrant Chavez, agreed with the outrageous comments of Harry Belefontae, and has for years been a vocal supporter of Jamal.
For a number of years the people of Philadelphia have let it be known that benefits for Jamal are not welcome in their city. Let them know of this oncoming outrage and let the supporters of Jamal that they have no place in the city where Jamal slaughtered
Officer Faulkner.
