Documentarian Threatened By Mumia Supporters

(From Philly.com)
FILMMAKER Tigre Hill says he's been warned that he'll be watched this weekend as he shoots footage related to the 25th anniversary of the shooting death of police officer Daniel Faulkner by Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Hill's making a documentary called "13th & Locust" about the 1981 shooting and the controversy that's followed ever since.

On Friday Hill will be shooting at the Union League during an event honoring Faulkner and sponsored by radio host Michael Smerconish, and Saturday he'll be working at a pro-Abu-Jamal demonstration at City Hall.

Hill says he's heard from a credible source that every move of his and his crew on Saturday will be watched. The director has previously received threats of bodily harm from Abu-Jamal supporters, or Mumidiots, as our esteemed colleague Stu Bykofsky calls them.
